What makes the law matter in this world? How can laws give voice to the voiceless—or rectify wrongs seemingly reinforced by the law itself? Let’s talk about it.

Join us for an informal discussion among New England Law faculty about the law and social justice. Professor David Siegel will interview Professors Dina Haynes and Lisa Laplante about their experiences using the law to serve vulnerable populations.

Learn what law in action really involves, whether it be direct legal representation of detained asylum seekers and migrants attempting to request asylum, or impact litigation related to the larger issues affecting immigrants or presenting the claims of Peruvians unjustly detained for terrorism to an international tribunal.

Refreshments will be served.
